The Story Behind Sonoma

Sonoma is located at Sears Point in the southern mountains of northern California, famous for its vineyards and the Sonoma Raceway. The Sonoma Raceway road course features 12 turns on a hilly course with 160 feet (49 m) of total elevation change. It hosts one of the seven NASCAR Cup Series races. Sonoma is in the heart of wine country, so it’s only fitting that the winner of the race sips some local spirits from a chalice in Victory Lane. The goblet was handcrafted by a local glass blower and introduced in 2006.

FAQ

How to Apply:
Wash and dry the surface to remove any contaminants. Ideally, clay the surface or polish away imperfections. Shake the bottle well before applying. Spray Sonoma onto the surface, working one section at a time. Wipe the surface evenly, continuously spreading the coating. Use a clean microfiber towel to buff it off for a slick finish. Multiple application is recommended for better results. Use between washes for durable protection. Avoid applying in direct sunlight.

What is Sonoma Ceramic Coating?
Sonoma Ceramic Coating is a wax replacement, as well as a polish and sealer in one. It is a safe water-based formula that contains no harmful or corrosive substances. Sonoma is meant to replace any other detailing product or coating you would need to maintain your vehicle, motorcycle, boat, RV, aircraft, & more. Sonoma Ceramic Coating provides a durable, protective layer on your car's surface, boasting 9H hardness and utilizing nanotechnology to be less prone to water spotting. Its long-lasting hydrophobic properties enable it to repel water, dirt, and grime.

How long will the protective coating of Sonoma last?
Depending on your local conditions, Sonoma Ceramic Coating typically lasts between 3-6 months after a single application. To maintain optimal protection, we recommend reapplying every three months. The more frequently you apply Sonoma, the better the results will be and the longer the coating will last.

How far does one 16oz bottle of Sonoma go?
With Sonoma Ceramic Coating, a single 16oz bottle can cover 10-12 full-sized vehicles or provide 2-3 applications on a 40-foot RV. The first application on a full-sized vehicle will require around 2-3 ounces of product, but subsequent applications will use less, typically around 1/2 an ounce to an ounce. Sonoma's highly concentrated formula means that a little bit goes a long way, making it a cost-effective solution for protecting multiple vehicles.

How do you apply Sonoma? Preparation? Application?
Wash and dry the surface. Ideally, clay the surface or polish away imperfections. Shake the bottle well before applying. Spray onto the surface, working one section at a time. Wipe the surface evenly and continuously spread the coating. Use a clean microfiber towel to buff it off for a slick finish. Multiple application is recommended for better results. Use between washes for durable protection. Avoid applying in direct sunlight.

Does Sonoma remove scratches?
Sonoma Ceramic Coating is capable of filling in light swirl marks, spider webbing, and micro-scratches on your vehicle's surface. However, it's important to note that if your vehicle has heavy scratches, they will need to be addressed separately before treating the surface with Sonoma.

What temperature should I apply Sonoma?
Because Sonoma Ceramic Coating is water-based, it can freeze in cold temperatures. To apply the product during winter months or on colder days, we recommend choosing a day when the temperature is at least 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Applying Sonoma in a garage can help prevent premature drying caused by wind chill, which can affect the effectiveness of the coating. Similarly, on days when the temperature is above 85 degrees Fahrenheit, it's important to work quickly to buff in the product to prevent it from drying before it can be properly buffed.
