What are bumper plates used for?
Bumper plates are commonly used in Olympic weightlifting and cross training. They are ideal for movements where the barbell is dropped, such as clean and jerk or snatch, as they protect the barbell and the lifting platform.

How are bumper plates different from traditional iron plates?
Bumper plates are made of rubber, which allows them to be dropped safely without causing damage. Traditional iron plates are not designed for dropping and can damage both the floor and the plates if dropped.

Is there a standard diameter for bumper plates?
The standard diameter of a bumper plate is 450mm (17.72 inches). This is the same diameter as competition-style iron plates, ensuring consistency in the barbell height.

What is the difference between bumper plates and traditional rubber coated plates?
Bumper plates are made from a dense rubber and are specifically designed for Olympic weightlifting movements where the barbell is dropped. Rubber coated plates are not designed for dropping. Another difference you’ll find is bumper plates all have the same diameter. The diameter of a rubber coated weight plate will generally decrease as the weight decreases.

What is SBR NR Rubber found in your bumpers?
SBR NR rubber is known for its excellent durability and resilience, making it well-suited for absorbing impact and withstanding repeated use, which is crucial for bumper plates in weightlifting environments. SBR rubber also has good shock absorption properties, helping to reduce noise and vibration when weights are dropped onto the plates.

Shipping method depends on the item:

ORDER TRACKING
You’ll receive tracking via email when shipped (tracking # for parcel / PRO # for freight). Tracking may take 24–72 hours to update after label creation/pickup. After pickup, the carrier controls routing, timing, and scheduling.

Freight: the terminal/carrier typically contacts you to schedule a delivery appointment.

If anything looks damaged/missing:

• Take photos/video immediately (packaging + labels + product).
• Freight/LTL: write notes on the delivery receipt/BOL BEFORE signing (example: “pallet crushed, box torn, dented frame, possible concealed damage”).
• If damage is major: refuse delivery and contact us right away.

Important: If you sign without noting damage, it may limit or void the ability to file a freight damage claim.

As an authorized dealer of XMark, returns follow their return and warranty guidelines. Returns must be pre-authorized.

RETURN AUTHORIZATION (REQUIRED)

• Email returns@garagerebel.com to request a Return Authorization (RMA/RAN) and instructions.
• Returns shipped without authorization may be refused.

Include in your email:

• Order number
• Item name/model (and SKU/serial if applicable)
• Reason for return
• Photos/video (if applicable)

RETURN WINDOW & CONDTIONS
Returns may be accepted within 30 days of purchase (if approved).

Items must be:

• Uninstalled / unused
• In like-new condition
• In original packaging with all parts, manuals, and accessories
• Serial numbers must match (when applicable)
• Additional fees may apply if an item is opened, incomplete, damaged, or missing packaging.

RETURN SHIPPING & FEES

• Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
• Outbound shipping costs may be deducted from the refund (even if “free shipping” was offered).
• A 15% restocking fee may apply for returns not related to defect/warranty (including refused shipments).
• Original shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable.
• Your refund, less the restocking fee and return shipping, will be issued within three business days of our receipt of the return.

NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN / CREDIT

• Requests after 30 days
• Used, installed, or improperly packaged items
• Damage due to misuse, incorrect installation, or environmental exposure
• Items missing parts/accessories/manuals or altered/defaced items
• Items without proof of purchase
• Products that have been installed.

CANCELLATIONS

• Orders that have not shipped may be canceled with a 5% cancellation fee (payment processing cost).
• If the order has already been shipped, cancellation is no longer possible, it must follow the return policy.
