1. What goes into making a neon sign?

Each sign is handcrafted over approximately two man‑days. Artisans bend and weld multiple hand‑blown glass tubes—typically between 5 and 12—then fill them with neon or an argon/phosphor mix to achieve vibrant, lasting illumination.

2. What colors can neon tubes produce?

●      Colored‑glass tubes: Glow in the tube’s glass hue when lit.

●      Phosphor‑coated tubes: Start white when off, but glow yellow, green, purple, white, and more depending on the phosphor formulation inside.

3. How long do neon signs last?

●      Intermittent use: 20–50 years

●      Continuous use (24/7): About 40,000 hours (~4 years)
 Since neon is a gas‑discharge lamp (no filament), it ages gradually and can endure decades under normal conditions.

4. Why might a neon sign flicker or “waver”?

Flicker is normal as the gas settles in the tubes and usually stabilizes within 2–3 weeks of continuous operation.

5. What happens if a tube breaks or fails?

Neon tubes operate in a closed electrical loop—if any segment cracks or leaks, the circuit opens and the entire sign goes dark. Repairs involve replacing the affected tube.

6. Can neon signs be used outdoors or in extreme temps?

●      Operating: Best above 50 °F (Indoor Use)

●      Storage: Down to –60 °F

7. What maintenance is required?

Minimal care—keep tubes dust‑free and avoid touching hot glass. If signs stop glowing or flicker, allow time for the gas to stabilize or consult a technician for tube replacement.

8. How fragile are neon signs?

While durable in normal use, glass tubes can break if roughly handled. Always inspect your sign after shipping or relocation and handle with care during installation.

As an authorized dealer, we uphold their official policy. Please read carefully—return shipping is your responsibility, and the refund you receive will be net of original delivery shipping plus a 25% restocking fee. 

Request Authorization
Email returns@garagerebel.com within 14 days of delivery. Include your order number and reason for return.

Arrange & Pay for Return Shipping
You must pre-pay your return shipment. Choose a trackable, insured carrier (e.g. FedEx, UPS, DHL) and package the item securely. Prepaid labels are not provided — your original shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.

Ship to Warehouse
Once your RMA is approved, we’ll send you the exact return address and any special packaging instructions.

Ship freight‐insured and obtain a tracking number—you’ll need this if anything goes missing in transit. Garage Rebel will not be held responsible for lost or damaged returns.

Inspection & Refund
To be eligable for a refund, items must be in original packaging and new conditions with all hardware, manuals, warranties, registration cards, and packaging intact.

After inspection, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method for the purchase price, minus: The actual shipping cost of your original delivery and a 25% restocking fee

Refunds typically process within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect your return.

Unauthorized or Non-Compliant Returns
Returns sent without RMA approval—or that arrive damaged, incomplete, or not in resalable condition—will be refused and shipped back to you freight-collect
